Question 1

Do I need to log in to Instagram to use Followny?

Accepted Answer

No. Followny only reads publicly available information, so there is no Instagram login, password, or connection required.

Question 2

Is Followny affiliated with Instagram?

Accepted Answer

No. Followny is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta. Instagram is a trademark of its owners.

Question 3

Can I see the exact time a following/follower list changed?

Accepted Answer

No. Instagram does not expose the exact moment a change happened. Followny shows when a comparable change was detected during its own recurring checks.

Question 4

How do I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

You can cancel anytime from your account settings — open Settings and choose Cancel subscription. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period and does not renew.

Question 5

What is Followny?

Accepted Answer

Followny helps you read public Instagram signals with Relationship Orbit: follow changes, confirmed follow-backs, and available public interactions. A membership reveals identities and enables Tracking with Email and Telegram change alerts. No Instagram login or password is required.

Question 6

What data does Followny use?

Accepted Answer

Only publicly available information, such as public profiles. We never access private accounts, direct messages, or logins.

Question 7

Which accounts can I look up?

Accepted Answer

Any public Instagram account. Private accounts can't be read because their information isn't public, and we only work with public data.

Question 8

Can the person I look up find out about my activity on Followny?

Accepted Answer

No. Looking someone up on Followny is not visible to that account, and your own privacy is kept safe too.

Question 9

Does a free scan start automatic Tracking?

Accepted Answer

No. A free scan shows a current preview. Automatic Tracking requires a Relationship Orbit membership and an active Tracking spot. Scanning another profile does not automatically use a spot.

Question 10

Can I see when they followed someone?

Accepted Answer

Not from the past. The first scan shows a sample of who the account follows now, not in follow-date order. After Tracking starts, new follows and unfollows appear with the time we detected them. Past follow history is not available and is not grounds for a refund.

Question 11

How does the following / unfollowing tracker work?

Accepted Answer

We save a baseline of a public account's following list, then re-check it on a schedule and compare. New follows, unfollows, and other changes are shown as detected at each check.

Question 12

What public interactions does Off Signal show?

Accepted Answer

Off Signal uses available likes and comments on the searched account's public posts, along with qualifying follow and tag evidence. It does not show posts that account liked elsewhere. It is a ranked view of public signals, not proof of a relationship.

Question 13

Does my first scan show what changed?

Accepted Answer

Your first scan is a current snapshot. Tracking compares later observations with a saved baseline to detect changes. A current follow-back confirmation is not evidence of when the follow-back happened.

Question 14

How accurate are the timestamps?

Accepted Answer

Followny shows when it detected a comparable change. Instagram does not expose the exact moment the follow or unfollow happened.

Question 15

How do I receive change alerts?

Accepted Answer

Open your notification settings to enable Email for your verified address or connect Telegram through the Followny Bot. Confirmed changes link back to the tracked profile in your Dashboard. Turning alerts off does not stop Tracking.

Question 16

Not getting Tracking emails?

Accepted Answer

Check your Spam and Promotions folders. If you find a Followny email there, mark it “Not spam” (in Gmail: “Report not spam”). Add support@followny.com to your contacts. Make sure the email shown in Settings is the inbox you’re checking. Still nothing? Contact us through the form below.

Question 17

What paid plan is available?

Accepted Answer

Relationship Orbit costs $12.99/month or $6.99/week. It unlocks the available evidence across all three Orbit lenses, includes 2 Tracking spots and Email and Telegram change alerts.

Question 18

Can I track more profiles?

Accepted Answer

Your membership includes 2 Tracking spots. Add paid spots up to 5 total: $8.99/month per added spot on Monthly, or $4.99/week on Weekly. Each added spot follows your membership billing interval.

Question 19

How do I cancel, and what happens when I do?

Accepted Answer

You can cancel anytime from your account settings — open Settings, go to your subscription, and choose Cancel subscription. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period and then does not renew. You can resubscribe anytime later.

Question 20

How do I stop tracking a profile?

Accepted Answer

Choose Remove profile in Tracking. Checks and alerts stop for that profile immediately. If you remove a paid added spot, its recurring charge is reduced at your next renewal; there is no immediate prorated credit.

Question 21

Do I need a separate plan for each Orbit lens?

Accepted Answer

No. Monthly and Weekly provide the same Relationship Orbit features. Choose the billing interval that works for you; additional Tracking spots are optional recurring add-ons.

Question 22

Do subscriptions renew automatically?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Monthly and Weekly memberships renew automatically until you cancel. To stop renewal, choose Cancel subscription in your account settings. Your membership stays active through the current paid period.

Question 23

Is my payment information secure?

Accepted Answer

Payments are handled directly by Stripe. Followny never receives or stores your full card number — only your subscription status and identifiers.

Question 24

How do I request a refund?

Accepted Answer

For refunds, reach out through the form below or at followny.info@gmail.com, and we'll review it and reply within 3 business days.

Question 25

Does Followny only work for Instagram?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Followny is focused on public Instagram data only.

Question 26

How is Followny different from tools that need your login?

Accepted Answer

Followny never asks for your Instagram login or password. It puts your privacy and safety first.

Question 27

Can Followny show likes an account gave, private accounts, or DMs?

Accepted Answer

No. Those aren't public data, so they can't be accessed.

Question 28

What data does Followny store about me?

Accepted Answer

Your email address, your subscription status, and the public tracking data for the accounts you look up. Payments are handled by Stripe — we never store your full card number. IP addresses are stored in a hashed form.

Question 29

Is my personal information and data safe?

Accepted Answer

Followny does not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.

Question 30

How do I delete my account and data?

Accepted Answer

Use Delete my data at the bottom of any page, or delete your account from Settings. Sign in with your email first; a guest scan made without an email can be deleted from the browser that ran it, or by contacting us. Deleting removes your account and its associated data, such as saved baselines and reports, and stops any subscription from renewing.

Question 31

Is looking up accounts legal?

Accepted Answer

Followny only processes information that is already publicly visible on Instagram, and never private accounts, DMs, or logins. If you have a further question about this or ran into any trouble, send us a message anytime.

Question 32

How do I sign in — is there a password?

Accepted Answer

You can sign in two ways: continue with Google, or have us email you a one-time magic link — click it and you're signed in.

Question 33

Can I sign in with Google?

Accepted Answer

Yes. On the login page you can continue with Google in one tap, or use an emailed magic link instead — whichever you prefer. Both sign you in to the same Followny account when they use the same email, there's no password either way, and we only ever receive your email address from Google — nothing else.

Question 34

I didn't get my magic link email. What do I do?

Accepted Answer

Check your spam folder and make sure the email address is correct, then request a new link. If it still doesn't arrive, contact us through the form below — or sign in with Google instead.

Question 35

Can I change the email on my account?

Accepted Answer

If you need to move your account to a new email, reach out through the contact form below and we'll help you switch it over.
