Followny reads only publicly available information. It does not use logins, passwords, or access private accounts.

Not a consumer report (FCRA)

Information from Followny is not a consumer report under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act or any state consumer-reporting or "mini-FCRA" law (including the California ICRAA and CCRAA, the New York FCRA, and Vermont's Fair Credit Reporting statute), and must not be used for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or tenant decisions.

No stalking or harassment

Do not use Followny to stalk, harass, intimidate, surveil, locate, or approach any person. Followny is for informational use only.

No location or whereabouts

Followny does not provide any person's location, address, GPS coordinates, real-time whereabouts, or contact information, and cannot be used to physically locate anyone.

Third-party accounts

Followny reports only information that is already publicly visible on Instagram at the time of a check. Accounts you look up have not consented to and are not affiliated with Followny. Followny does not add, infer, or reveal any private, hidden, or non-public information about any account, and inclusion of an account is not an endorsement by that account.

No biometrics

Followny does not perform facial recognition or collect biometric identifiers, and does not infer gender or other protected characteristics (any gender shown in reports is user-selected).

How images are shown

Followny does not maintain a durable archive of Instagram photos or videos. Publicly available profile images, thumbnails and — where you ask for a download — the underlying media are retrieved from Instagram's servers and passed through transiently; the files are not retained as a media library. Images may also be transmitted transiently to our automated classification provider for analysis. Content displayed or downloaded remains the property of its respective owners and is provided for your personal use.

Accuracy

Capture is partial and timing reflects when a change was detected at a check, not the exact moment it occurred. Provided AS-IS, at your own risk.
